SURNAME: He is one of the people that may have come from the area around the village of "Bollenbach" and settled in the Aschbach area. Families from this village of Bollenbach would have been called Bollenbacher by the local people of Aschbach. The "er" added to the end of the individuals home village name would mean that this people was from that village. There is a Bollenbach about 40-50 miles to the northeast of Aschbach. I believe that some groups of families left Bollenbach and moved to Aschbach in the late 1600's or the early 1700's and started using the surname Bollenbacher. They may or may not be from a single related family unit. There is also another village of Bollenbach located to the southwest of the Aschbach area.
